Refits & aftercareCome back sooner, pay less.
The longer capsules grow out, the more careful the removal has to be. So a refit is priced by how long it’s been — and two months costs meaningfully less than four.
Priced by how long it’s been.
| When you come back | Removal | Refit | Total, 200 strands |
|---|---|---|---|
| At 2 monthsBest value | AED 1 | AED 5 | AED 1,200 |
| At 3 months | AED 2 | AED 7 | AED 1,800 |
| At 4 months or more | AED 3 | AED 7 | AED 2,000 |
Removal and refit rates are per strand. Taking them out for good, or removing hair fitted at another salon? Removal alone is AED 1–3 per strand, on the same scale.
On a 200-strand head, coming back at two months is AED 1,200. Leaving it to four is AED 2,000. Same work, same hair — the difference is entirely how far the capsule has travelled down the strand.
What a refit actually involves
Your hair grows roughly a centimetre a month. The capsule doesn’t — it stays bonded where it was placed, so it travels away from the scalp. Past a certain point it becomes visible when you part your hair, and the loose root hair above it starts to wrap around it.
A refit removes each capsule, combs the shed hair out of the root section, re-tips the extension hair and bonds it back a few millimetres from the scalp. Your existing hair goes back in. You are not buying hair again.
Why leaving it costs more
At two months the capsule slides off cleanly and the root section is clear. At four, matting has formed above the bond and every strand has to be worked loose by hand before anything can be re-fitted. That is slower, harder on your own hair, and priced accordingly.
Making the hair last
- Dry the roots. Not the ends — the roots. Hours of damp at the bond is the single most common cause of matting.
- Brush from the bottom up with a loop brush, holding the mid-length so you aren’t pulling at the capsules.
- Sulphate-free shampoo, and keep conditioner off the bonds themselves.
- Tie it up loosely at night — a low plait, not a tight one.
- Rinse after the sea or the pool. Dubai salt and chlorine both dry the hair out fast.
- Book the refit before you leave. The two-month price is only available to people who actually come back at two months.
Looked after this way, the same hair usually carries through several refits. How many depends on the hair and on how it is treated between them — we will tell you honestly when a set is coming to the end rather than refitting hair that is finished.
